Track 8: Cloud–Edge–Device Computing and Network–Compute Co-Design

Track Chairs:
Moez Esseghir, University of Technology of Troyes, France moez.esseghir@utt.fr

Description

This track focuses on integrated networking and computing across cloud, edge, and end devices. As applications demand increasingly stringent latency, energy efficiency, and reliable processing, achieving these goals requires a synergistic approach that tightly couples networking capabilities with computational resources. We seek original research on the joint design, co-optimization, and unified orchestration of network and compute resources.

Track Topics

  • Architectures and protocols for the cloud–edge–device continuum
  • Orchestration and service placement across distributed compute nodes
  • Compute–network co-optimization and joint resource allocation
  • Latency- and reliability-aware networking
  • Networking support for distributed intelligence and federated learning
  • In-network computing and AI-driven management
  • Energy-efficient and sustainable compute–network co-design
  • Programmable infrastructures (e.g., SDN/NFV) for unified network-compute orchestration
